PLEA is a COA accredited community service organization that provides tailor made services to meet individuals needs and circumstances.
President – David S. Duncan is a retired CEO of the Legal Services Society and a former Assistant Deputy Attorney General, responsible for Courts and Management Services.
Vice-President – Lindsay Setzer is the former Director
of the Maples Adolescent Centre.
Secretary – Kathryn Morrison is a social worker with Youth Forensic
Services.
Treasurer – Alasdair Gordon is a Vancouver businessman
who was instrumental in creating and building the KidStart Mentoring Program.
Director – Gail Bedard is District Principal of Aboriginal
Education for School District 36 (Surrey).
Director – Roland Bishop is a retired regional director
of national parole services and regional manager of offender programs with
Correctional Services Canada.
Director – Doug Cochran is a lawyer with Cochran
Bradshaw, criminal law practice.
Director – Jennifer Crews is a social worker presently
working part-time at Royal Columbian Hospital, while raising two young children
at home.
Director – John Fleming is a member of the faculty
of Douglas College, in the Criminology and Youth Justice Worker programs.
Director – Joy MacPhail is the former MLA for Vancouver
Hastings and leader of the opposition. She previously served as BC’s
Minister of Finance.
Director - Elaine Spilos retired in 2004 from the Surrey School District as Principal of Earl Marriott Secondary School.
Director – Dr. Margaret Wright is a professor at
the UBC School of Social Work and Family Studies.
